The Startup Scribe is run by me, Aubre Andrus.
I left the corporate marketing world in 2011 to follow my dream of working smarter, traveling more, and writing for brands and publications that I loved. Mashable was at the top of my list and it wasn’t long before I was reporting on startups, coworking, freelancing, and crowdfunding. Interviewing so many talented entrepreneurs was inspiring!
Later on, a few freelance projects for crowdfunding campaigns and startups fell into my lap. Lightbulb moment! I finally had my own business idea—I wasn’t just a “freelance writer.” I wanted to work exclusively with startups on their content strategy. So here I am helping super smart people like you bring your insanely amazing business ideas to life the only way I know how…with words.
I geek out most for clients that are focused on tech, travel, kids, or food. Some of the big brands I’ve worked with include WIRED, MasterCard, Scholastic, American Girl, Express, Highlights for Children, American Family Insurance, Spectrum Brands, National Geographic Traveler, and CareerBuilder. Startups include Wheelys Café, Chicago Foodseum, Pursuit, Sconnie Beer, Contently, Quikly, Chipp’d, and more.
The Startup Scribe is based in Silicon Beach, California.
